fine art seo rank-topalski fine arts

As I said i one of my previous posts here I had brilliant idea to have a better ranking on Google for art related search terms for my fine art website www.topalski.com

It is important for me because I sell most of my paintings online. I’ve collected all my knowledge about seo, and picked up some of the latest advice and made it. To be honest most of those are “it should work”…

At the beginning I had “SEO Un-Rank” and my website was lost for most of search terms and it was nowhere… and I gave up.

At the moment it is on the first page of Google for most of targeted terms such as:

  • latest fine art paintings
  • oil fine art
  • artworks paintings
  • painting fine art
  • fine art gallery serbia
  • fine artist serbia
  • paintings fine art
  • paintings website
  • fine art painting gallery
  • fine art websites
  • fine paintings for sale
  • fine art paintings
  • fine art painting
  • watercolor fine art

SEO Unrank?

seo-unrank

I had the “brilliant” idea… to try to improve a rank of my main website www.topalski.com

It was nice ranked for some keywords, not at the first places of the first page on Google, but it had decent ratings for several terms first page on Google, for the millions of results…

Why that was important?

I’m fine artist, painter, and I’m selling my oil paintings and watercolors online…

Nikola Tesla-Portrait Painting in Progress

March17

Almost a year ago I’ve finished oil painting on MDF canvas panel of Nikola Tesla ( see it here…)

From all available Tesla photographs, one is inspiration for previous portrait in sepia, and this one.

Nikola Tesla (10 July 1856 – 7 January 1943) was an inventor, mechanical engineer, and electrical engineer. He was an important contributor to the birth of commercial electricity, and is best known for his many revolutionary developments in the field of electromagnetism in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Tesla’s patents and theoretical work formed the basis of modern… modern world.

This painting I have the idea to finish it wit a blue layer. To do that , and to have effective portrait painting, first some of underlayer stages…

Here is painting in progress of version 2…

Nikola Tesla – Blue Portrait

L’Amour et Psyché, enfants

March6

L'Amour et Psyché by William-Adolphe BouguereauL’Amour et Psyché, enfants (translated: Cupid and Psyche as Children, 1890, Salon of 1890, No. 330) is one of William-Adolphe Bouguereau’s most famous paintings. It is incorrectly known as Le Premier Baiser (The First Kiss, 1873).
The painting is an oil on canvas, 119.5 x 71 cm (47 x 27 7/8 inches), and it is housed in a private collection. The subject of the painting stems from the story of Cupid and Psyche told by Lucius Apuleius in The Golden Ass (2nd century AD).

One of the first virtual galleries on the Internet was the Web Museum. It placed L’Amour et Psyche, enfants (1890) mistakenly as The First Kiss (1873) and this error has been repeated ever since… [source Wikipedia]

I’ve decided to paint a detail of them on 100x70cm (39.4×27.6in)canvas

1. Drawing on Canvas

2. Me and them :D

3. First oil layer (burnt umber, burnt sienna and some color)

4. I have read some article that says W.A. Bouguereau used on some of his paintings Blue layer over Sienna layer… Excellent idea to play… so I’ve decided to cover whole area of canvas with Burnt Sienna, wipe off highlighted areas and here is the result

Dragoljub “Draža” Mihailovic – Version 2

March5

A Year ago I’ve finished oil painting on MDF canvas panel of Dragoljub “Draža” Mihailovic (or Draza Mihajlovic see it here…)

Dragoljub “Draža” Mihailovic (also known as “Uncle Draža”; 27 April 1893 – 17 July 1946) was a Yugoslav Serbian general during World War II. A staunch royalist, he retreated to the mountains near Belgrade when the Germans overran Yugoslavia in April 1941 and there he organized bands of guerrillas known as the Chetnik Detachments of the Yugoslav Army. The organisation is commonly known as the Chetniks, although the name of the organisation was later changed to the Yugoslav Army in the Homeland (JVUO).
Founded as a royalist/nationalist Serbian resistance movement, it was the first Yugoslav resistance movement to be formed, followed shortly by Josip Broz Tito’s Partisans. Initially, the two groups operated in parallel, but by late 1941 began fighting each other in the attempt to gain control of the area following the end of the war. Many Chetnik groups collaborated or established modus vivendi with Axis powers. After the war, Mihailovi? was tried and convicted of high treason and war crimes by the authorities of the People’s Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, and executed by firing squad.
[source wikipedia]

From all available Mihailovic photographs, and not many, two are the most famous. One is inspiration for previous portrait in sepia, and this one.

Why I’ve decided to paint them?

If you think you can paint, best way to show what you can do is to paint someone who’s is portrait famous. First portrait painting I’ve sold. Interesting is that this my portrait was published in local daily newspapers “Kurir”

It is also nice playground (if you like to experiment, test, play while you are painting).

Here is painting in progress of version 2…

Size: 40x30cm (16x12in)

Surface: MDF Canvas Board

1. After drawing I’ve painted a basics of portrait with burnt umber, and after that instead of standard imprimatura I’ve painted whole surface of canvas with Green Oxide of Chromium…

Draza Mihailovic-Green Oxide of Chromium

2. After this drying of previous layer I’ve painted burnt umber and added white to highlighted areas, and some light blue to the skies…

Draza Mihailovic-Umber Layer-Advanced

3. Instead of adding some color layers, or to paint classic “dead layer”  I’ve decided to paint it in Verdacio (more neutral version of it)

4. COMING SOON :D
